NHL.com has a nice article about Dorsett and Russell......here are some comments from the GM Scott Howson about Dorsett:
"We like Derek's grit and competitiveness," said Howson. "He was undrafted in the WHL and undrafted as an 18-year-old by the NHL. We took him the seventh round when he was 19. He had a good season last year. He's a guy who plays hard all the time."

I am looking forward to hearing reviews out of camp on these guys. Boy it would be nice if one of them could step in and help the team on one of the top two lines. How sweet would that be!!
