Spector from FoxSports.com takes a look at trade possibilities out West. Here is what he had to say about the Jackets:
Columbus Blue Jackets: Nikolai Zherdev. He was a huge disappointment last season after re-signing a three-year contract with the Jackets, posting only 32 points. He was reportedly nearly dealt to the Edmonton Oilers earlier this summer, and while GM Scott Howson is willing to give Zherdev a chance at redemption, the enigmatic winger could end up on the block if he doesn't pick up his game.

Can't really disagree with anything he has to say regarding Zherdev (pictured right). This is a big year for #13 or he could end up being the first #1 overall pick from the Blue Jackets to get traded. Unfortunately for the Jackets, his stock is at an all time low and if he doesn't perform this coming season they may have to just cut the cord and salvage what they can for him which most certainly won't be much.
Lets hope #13 comes to play this season and this is a non-issue.
