Cbssports.com's top 50 players

Cbssports lists their top 50 players. Sid the Kid and Alexander the Gr8t come in at 1 and 2 with Vincent Lecavalier rounding out the top 3 but do any Blue Jackets make the list? To answer that question only 1 and that's number 61 Rick Nash. Unfortunately he comes in all the way down at 43:

43. Rick Nash, LW: Nash has got the kind of hands hockey players dream of, but it takes more to be consistently effective in the NHL. A full season under coach Ken Hitchcock should help Nash realize that.

Oh how the mighty have fallen as just last year The Hockey News had Nash ranked at #9. Arbitrary rankings aside, Nash does need to pick up his game this season and if the later half of the 2006-2007 season and his performance in the World Championships is any sign, we are going to see a much more productive #61 this season and we are going to need.

My prediction for Nash in the 2007-2008 season - 41 goals (to match his career high) and 35 assists.
