Week 25 Power Rankings - final week
Rank: 12 (-1)With only three games left, the Blue Jackets haven't yet clinched their playoff spot after winning just once in the last five games. With Chicago, St. Louis and Minnesota remaining, it may still be a battle to get there.
Rank: 12 (unchanged)
Kristian Huselius' apparent head injury comes at a terrible time for the Blue Jackets.
Rank: 14 (+1)
(.570) How the Blue Jackets play in the final week of the regular season will determine whether or not the club will make an appearance in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time in franchise history. Columbus didn't play well in Week 26, dropping two of the three games on its slate, including a deflating 1-0 overtime loss to the Blackhawks.
Rank: 14 (-2)
Missed out on a chance to clinch a playoff spot in Nationwide Arena. But they keep inching closer.
Rank: 12 (unchanged)
They'll eventually secure that first-ever berth, but they're learning a valuable lesson from the hockey gods in the process: don't advertise the tickets until you've made the stinking playoffs. Dogged by uneven performances for two weeks, they have just two wins in seven and only three games left to build some forward momentum.
Rank: 14 (+1)
Columbus has lost five of seven, but only one of those losses was in regulation. The Jackets have 20 points in their past 14 games.
Rank: 12 (+1)
The Blue Jackets are desperately trying to make the playoffs for the first time, but has five losses in seven starts.
Rank: 12 (unchanged)
The Jackets are holding their breath with regards to Kristian Huselius, who has an upper-body injury. He’s been a nice fit on a line with Rick Nash. This is an offensively challenged team, and losing Huselius could be a problem.
Rank: 15 (-2)
Rick Nash doing his part with nine points in his past six games

Meta-score: 13 (last week 12.7)

That 12 to 13 area seems about right. One thing that bothered me about this week's comments were that even though the team lost, few failed to mention that they picked up points in all of those losses but one.

Onto the playoffs!
