The lines I have posted are the my perceived cutoffs for Jackets roster spots and who I think makes the team. If true that means the Jackets will carry 24 players. Remember a team can only dress 18 skat
ers plus two goalies that that would mean 4 scratches should everyone stay healthy.
Can any of those below the line force their way up by the time opening night rolls around Friday October 10th? If so what happens to the guys they leapfrog?
A couple of guys that I think have that potential to make that leap are Filatov, Dorsett, Sestito, Methot, Plekhanov and Clitsome.

I look for York and Methot to impress the coach this off season. Just a hunch.
Do players with a one way contract have the option to start in Syracuse without going through waivers?
Pyle - nope all players with one-way deals must past through waivers before they can play in the minor leagues.
Actually the only difference between a 1-way and 2-way deal is that on a 2-way the player gets paid less dough if he's sent to the minors where as a player on a 1-way deal, even if he clears waivers and plays in the minors, gets paid his NHL salary.
The 3-year entry level deals are the contracts were players do not have to pass through waivers on their way up or down.

What about Andrew Murray? Where does he fit in?
After Howson extended Murray to a 3 year deal last season I certainly see him in the lineup. They love his motor and smarts with the puck. I think he'll be a 4th line winger.
