Stat of the day

Actually stat(s) of the day -- to much good stuff to report on today:

*By collecting two assists last night Nik Zherdev suprassed his previous season high of 54 points over 73 games played in the 2005-2006 season. In just 67 games played Z has 55 points (24g, 31a). With 15 games left can Z crack the 70 point plateau?

*Rick Nash is just one point shy of matching his career high of 57 points set in the 2003-2004 and 2006-2007 seasons. Nash is also on pace to top his rocket richard winning 41 goal season of 2003-2004. He's projected to hit 43.

*In notching their 30th win of the season last night, the Jackets reached that milestone a whopping 20 days faster than any previous Jackets team had done. The earliest they had hit that mark was Thursday March 22nd 2007 against Detroit.

*The Jackets reached the 70 point plateau a whopping 25 days faster than any previous Jackets team. The team went from 69 points to 71 after a 4-1 victory at St Louis last year on March 27th.

Progress is being made this year Jacket fans.

I love these stats...it's a good year to be a Jackets fan regardless of a playoff appearance or not.

The elevator ride to the top is always the most fun of a winning franchise. It's so abundantly clear that we're going in the right direction...from coaching to front office to play on the ice. Next year will be even better.

We might make the playoffs this year; we might not. But a winning record is DEFINITELY within reach.

I LOVE how both Nash and Zherdev--our two biggest offensive threats are exceeding previous totals. So much for the dimwits who think players can't score goals in Hitch's system, eh? I love it.
