It gets better...

Here is NHL.com's official statement from the game review article:

The NHL had all 30 teams in action Saturday, so the video review room in Toronto was overworked. According to a blog post on the league's official Web site, off-ice officials deemed the evidence inconclusive. So the decision was sent back to Minnesota, and the referee who made the initial call was overruled by his three colleagues.

"Overworked" and now the refs get the final judgement on reviewed goals? Are you kidding me? Do they just make this crap up as they go?

Lets see, you have how many months to plan for these games and you can't staff accordingly?

Mickey Mouse meet the NHL.

The league should be embarrassed. Overworked? Wow that tops it all. Isn't there a replay judge at every game?

Sad that they can't get it figured out.

The NHL hasn't been very good at promoting its sport either.

It's time for the CBJ fans to unite and send the NHL brass a real message that we have had it with the incompetent officiating and total disrespect and disregard to the CBJ organization and its fans.

I suggest a massive fan walkout, similar to the one done by the Baltimore Orioles' fans. I thing either during a national TV gamne, which is especially limited (1 ??) or maybe during a Canadian national TV game.

Can you give us the names of the on ice officials, the off ice officials and the war room people who blew the call???

This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard, overworked! They are a struggling league and things like this are only going to push people away from the sport. If they can’t even put on a legitimate games why would I want to spend my hard earned money to watch them steal points from the only team never to make the playoffs?

Let the NHL hear about it at this link:

i know that whinning about officating is a crutch of the loser... i get that...

but...

friday night i was at the rangers game and i saw what i thought to believe what should have been an EASY no goal call blown by the officials and the video review judges... i know it wasnt a " KICKING MOTION " but it was a " SKATE DEFLACTION " and numerous times we get shafted again and again on calls that go the other teams way and when it looks like we get tripped hooked or held or hit from behind .... NOTHING... i mean jesus look at what happened to BOLL he got mobbed by 4 phoenix players and he got the penalty...

not to mention the officials let the fight he got in with barch from dallas go for about a minute and a half TOO LONG... and what happened ... he got hurt

i dunno... im really starting to believe that we are one of the teams chosen by the officials or handed down by the league to not be given breaks... to keep us down...

and people cant figure out why nationwide isnt full...

not to mention the FILATOV situation...

why in the HELL would you dress a guy only to have him watch...? why not scratch him and let picard play or russell come on ...? whats the point of having a great talented young superstar in the making if your gonna let him rot... oh yea... friday in his 5 seconds HITCH let him play... yea he was a + 1

WEIRD huh ...?

does anyone feel this is the officials way of getting back at us for the PECA thing...?

The officials did what they had to do.

While I thought it was just as surprising when they called "no goal," they had to reverse it.

If they can't find a video angle that proves it is a legit goal, they have to say no goal.
