Destination Garage Bar!

If your a fan of the best hockey bar in town (a.k.a. R Bar Arena) and are looking for a watering hole on opening night while the new location is under construction look no further than the Garage Bar!

Okay here's the scoop on opening night Garage Bar festivities:
*The doors are opening at 2 p.m. EST.

*Before the game if you spend 20 bucks per individual you'll get a free pass for the band playing post game (more on the band in a bit) - else its an $8 cover charge.

*Happy hour is open until 8 p.m. - that includes $2 domestic drafts & bottles & $2 shots of beam.

*Domestic tall boys are always $3 per can regardless of happy hour.

* If you don't have tickets to the game then settle in as there all plenty of high definition flat screens to catch all the game action!! The sound will also be played.

*They also have food! Ribs, tots, fries, its all here!

*The band is from LA called: Three Bad Jacks with Cotton Jackson

From the flier: Three bad jacks are an unstoppable force. They play consistently to sold out crowds across the US they have opened for bands from joe strummer to Dwight Yoakam from Social Distortion to Bouncing Souls. Three bad jacks consistently draw on the home turf of southern cali at venues such as house of lues, the knitting factory and the galay theatre as well as festivals such as hootenanny.

Location:
The Garage Bar is located on vine street right next to the Lodge Bar. Its about a 5 minute walk from the East entrance of Nationwide Arena.

147 Vine St.
Columbus OH, 43215
614.224.3002

This all comes highly recommended from the owners of the R Bar. From personal experience its very spacious with a large patio and the service and prices have been terrific. Its been a fine substitute until our hockey home away from home re-opens.

Hope to see you all there!

Just took a few minutes to check out "3 Bad Jacks" on youtube & they look like they can raise the roof in a little place like the "Garage" Hellbilly/Punk+rockabilly with a few surprises like lighting the upright bass on fire during solos!
