'hawks are off to a great start themselves going 4-3 over their first 7. The kicker being that they are riding the coat tails of their two young rookie superstars in the making in 2006 3rd overall pick Jonathan Toews (2g, 3a) and 2007 first overall pick Patrick Kane who is leading the team in scoring with 1g and 6a.

The Central this year is going to be a much tougher division - perhaps the most competitive in the West believe it or not. When Nashville is in the basement of the division at 2-4 you know things just got competitive real quick.

Message to Detroit - your reign at the top of this division is going to come to an end perhaps as early as this season.
