Open post

Hello all!

I'll be traveling tonight doin the family thing so I wanted to leave this post open for those that do get to watch the game and would like to comment.

Unfortunately my destination (Toledo) does not have FSN Ohio (blasphemy!!) so I'm stuck with updates on the iPhone until I can watch later tomorrow afternoon.

GO JACKETS!

That's too funny!!! He gotcha LTL!!!

I know nothing can be done until after the 27th, but has anyone heard any substance to the rumor about Doug Weight possibly leaving the Isles? If so, do we want him?

LTL! I'm originally from a small town in NW Ohio and have been in and around Toledo for about 5 days already. I'm in Hicksville, Ohio right now (a real town) and found on the BlueJackets' site this morning that AM 1520 out of Bryan, Ohio is in the radio network. I plan on tuning into the game because I'm staying with family that doesn't have cable at all! Cheers and GO JACKETS!

Hey, you're in my hood now, LTL! Unfortunately, I'm not able to watch the game, as I'm working the Toledo Rockets basketball game.

And you don't think I haven't been raising some hell about FSN Ohio not carrying the Jackets games? They'll sure as hell carry the Cavs. Grump grump grump...

Good news is that if you have DirecTV, they'll carry the Jackets.

I'll pass on the Toledo cracks, but since LTL is out of town, I have posted some stuff on my blog that I will welcome discussion on.

Suffice it to say, we did not show up for this game tonight. By the time we got energy going, it was too late, and Boll, Malhotra, Dorsett, Novotny, Murray, Picard show energy, but no ability to finish. What is up with Malhotra this year??

ok its my turn at the helm of the mighty LTL BLOG as a special guest blogger...

( if you want you can go ahead and copy and paste this for every game review the rest of the season ... that is unless something DRASTIC happens... soon... )

our beloved jackets came out FLAT looked horrible , were out checked out chanced , out passed , out shot and out pretty much anything else you can think of... then oh yea we were out WAR ROOMED again...

what else to say...

looked like a decent enough crowd on tv...

its a real shame that steve mason's talents will go wasted on this team this year... i cant blame him for any goals allowed tonight , much as in the past... danny gare even commented that mason moved the puck the best on one of our fruitless powerplays... that should be enough to tell you how well we played...

there was a brief few seconds during the second period where we actually looked like a team i remember ... there was heavy hits and lots of energy... but alas... they faded away...

i dont know what to say , i cant be inspired by the way they have been playing ... shutout 120 minutes + now in 2 games combined in a row... by goalies who we turn into terry sawchuk... oh and yea thats 2 games this year againt the kings and yea that would be 2 shutouts against us...

this year for christmas im really gonna ask for help for my beloved jackets... either by trade or call up or just by maybe skipping the rest of the season and just fast forwarding to the off season ...

and yea i KNOW were not out of it... and yea there is alot of hockey to be played... but given the history of the team and the circumstances of the current team... its hard to hope any more...

a depressed jackets fan in findlay...

Three words only describe this game to me:

Ohh...

My...

GOD!!!!

Is it just me or is it getting harder to keep the faith?

You chose a great game to miss. Don't bother watching your recording of it.. save yourself the pain. It looked like the jackets team had taken part in the all-you-could-eat frenzy before the game. Only thing I was proud of (other than Mason) was the crowd chanting Toronto Sucks after another no-goal ruling from them. I stayed up late too to watch NHL channel's review of the game and they neither showed or mentioned the non-goal.

Hey, what happened to the wheels? They appear to have come off.

Nice Blog!

CBJ need a goal scorer, we have too many 'muckers' and not enough guys who can put the puck in the net.

Nash and Huselius can't carry this team on offense. A offensive defenseman would be nice, especially to run the PowerPlay which is awful.

We need to make a big trade and call up the kid, Nikita.

Get rid of Novotny, Peca, Backman, Murray and Picard.

Rumored available players are Doug Weight, Nik Antropov and Ilya Kovalchuk. I know it would take a lot to get Kovalchuk but I am ready to trade the draft picks and roll players to do it.

We have to make the playoffs this year, the season ticket holders are getting very, very impatient (I am one of them!).

All Sport fans have DirecTV, only way to guaranteeing all your teams coverage. I live in Cleveland and rely on DirecTV to offset the Cavaliers coverage, so I can watch the Jackets!!!

WOW really so let me see if im getting this right...

TOLEDO and CLEVELAND 2 of OHIO's major cities DONT carry FSN or BLUE JACKETS games...?

wow... that really is shocking... seriously...

talk about total disrespect...

now i see why ticket sales and interest is down... i mean aside from the horrible play...

Well they carry the CBJ games if they aren't on at the same time as the Cavaliers.
IF the Cavaliers play at the same time and are televised on TNT or ESPN and on FSN Ohio then we still get the Cavaliers. So before I got DirecTV, I could watch the Cavaliers on 3 different channels but couldn't pick up the CBJ game. Pathetic I know, you should see the hockey coverage in our beloved Plain Dealer, almost non-existent!!!
Hopefully soon, the Lake Erie Monsters will become the minor league affiliate of the CBJ, then we could watch the current team and our future stars. Then maybe we would get some more print in the local rags!

Thanks for the comments everyone.

This game sounds like a I-71 pile up... that or just a big pile of smelly....well you get the picture.

I think this franchise is going to need a lot more Giant Eagle promotions.

Thanks for the coal in our stockings Jackets.
