Crunch roll to playoffs

To say the Syracuse Crunch are on a roll is an understatement. They capped off their amazing 2nd half of the season with a 7-1 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Duvie Wescott with a 1g and 3a. MacKenzie with 1g 2a. Konopka with 2g 1a. Derick Brassard and Colin Wilson both with 1g 1a. Gilbert Brule with a goal. Plekanov (who is really coming on strong), Picard and Lindstrom each with a helper.

That win puts the Crunch with a 46-26-8 recored which is good for 100 points on the nose and 2nd place in the West Division. The Crunch also locked up home ice advantage with the win.

If your lookin for a team to cheer on in the post season look no further than this group.

The Crunch's first playoff game will be Friday in Syracuse against the Manitoba Mo0se. Game 2 will be Saturday also in Syracuse.

You really can't put a value on the experience guys like Brule, Brassard, Sestito, Picard, Dorsett, Methot, Lindstrom and Wilson are getting being on a winning team like this. We can only hope it translates to wins down the road (i.e. next year!) on the big club.

Here's to a long run and a shot at the Calder Cup boys!

I think it is a great sign that those boys are going down there and dominating. Maybe they learned something from the big man who apparently isn't good with young players *rolls eyes*.

CLAY (not Colin ;)) Wilson is a neat player to watch.
