1. The powerplay finishes top 15 for the year.
2. Rick Nash, with increased talent around him, notches 50 goals on the nose.
3. Jan Hejda scores a goal!
4. The Jackets go .500 or better on the road.
5. Pascal Leclaire stays healthy the entire season.
6. Expect the Jackets to be buyers at this year's deadline if they are even remotely in the playoff picture. With a year to remake this roster its Howson's squad now and anything short of the playoffs will be a dissapointment and he knows that as well as anyone.
7. A Blue Jacket wins the Calder trophy for rookie of the year.
8. The Jackets will go 3-2-1 against Nashville this season.
9. Manny Malhotra is traded at some point during the season.
10. Jackets start slow out of the gate as they look to build chemistry but find it by game 15 and yes....for the first time in their history make the NHL playoffs as the 8th seed with 93 points. The downside is that the Wings are their first playoff opponent.-LTL

I'd like to add a couple:
1. Jiri Novotny will have a "killer" year, scoring 20g/30a/50points.
2. Frederik Norrena will struggle and either Dan LaCosta or Steve Mason will get called up.
3.
I'll also expand on this...
1. Jason Chimera score more than 20 goals and has 4 black eyes
2. Mason plays well enough to make Norenna expendable at the deadline.
3. Norenna plays well enough to be worth something at the deadline.
4. The CBJ acquires a right handed shooting d-man that can move the puck.
5. Backman scores 10 PP goals this year and has 40 pts for the season.
6. The CBJ ends up with 95 pts and 7th or higher in the west.
7. LeClaire is top 3 in Vezina voting.
OK, I might be dreaming on the last one but I really feel we will be very hard to play against and I expect a lights out year from Pazzy. If that is the case I could see us really push and be a force all year. The chemistry needs to happen and I think we need to give them 10 games to get in line. When Torres comes back they'll need to adjust again but it won't be that significant and they'll really push the pedal down.
3 hours to go! Thanks for keeping me interested during the offseason. Looking forward to reading this blog throughout the season. See you at the bar!
